 In the current historical context, when the European continent, even the entire planet, participating in the development of common templates for future culture, we believe it is mandatory to reformulate, to update, deep cultural values, intangible, to protect them for transmission to future generations,promote them and make them known especially in a modern and open. A nation that inherits not only lives, but also what tezaurizează daily in his soul. The identity of a society is defined, inter alia, the main symbols recognized and accepted by its members, the beliefs, traditions, rules make sense of their existence, which helps them to recognize in a mass of individuals and share a common destiny.

 Maramures maximum attractiveness of the area in terms of the intangible cultural heritage multiethnic comes from a dose of the unknown, the unexpected and the differences in this region, in relation to most areas ethnographic Romania.

This difference ensures the uniqueness and potential of the intangible cultural heritage is defined by specific heritage elements coexistence of ethnic, cultural and confessional different, which determines the diversity, richness and unique character of many practices.ANTREC, West University "Vasile Goldis" and University of Akureyri must be collaborative model, best practices in hoarding, promotion and valorization in the European context, this intangible heritage.

 The project is an integrated project within the "Promoting diversity in culture and art in the European cultural heritage" with two components: awareness of cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue and strengthening documenting cultural history, leading to strengthening access to intangible heritage of multi-ethnic cultural minorities for general public and the development of cultural increase international mobility of artists collaborating with Icelandic partner.

Target groups are the majority population in the area, plus the Roma minority and the ethnic Hungarian population, German and Ukrainian, as well as from Iceland, along with our two areas.

The project is considered in two main stages.The first includes the identification and promotion of intangible heritage multiethnic focusing on expanding ethnic diversity in culture or the possibility of carrying out various activities in the field of ethnography and folklore in Europe, reaching the northernmost point of Europe - Akureyri, along the northernmost Area of Romania, Maramures. The second stage concerns the establishment of ethnographic events and about minorities, which include exhibitions, artistic performances, etc ..

 The project implementation is proof against ANTREC concern and specialists from both the University (Faculty of Geography and Tourism Baia Mare UVVG University of Akureyri - UNAK) to strengthen and promote the cultural heritage of Maramures multiethnic an undeniable beauty and experience in European communitytoday when trends are moving towards globalization and standardization.

 The project aims originality of traditional culture and the means by which it functions as a grouping of "survival" (shapes, pictures, meaning, structure, rituals present in an active system of multi-ethnic cultures) settlements, which are true outdoor museums, thea nation or groups of nations (groups of Roma and ethnic cohabiting), considered fragments often anachronistic to the modern world demands.

 Working at an academic level the project aims also developing an educational works that provide ways and means of facilitating public access to cultural heritage.
